Principles of electromechanical energy conversion, motion actuators: solenoids, stepping motors, DC motors, BLDC motors, induction motors, synchronous motors, switched reluctance motors, Toroidal torque motors, servos and synchros, linearinduction motors, transformers for power, signal and pulse processing. Characteristics of machines : braking , four quadrant operation with power conditioners. Power amplifiers: linear and PWM , Power Operational amplifiers, Choppers, rectifiers, inverters and cycloconverters.
